100WC

So as she lifted the lid a thousand different smells wafted out and took control of her brain. Mind control was something Anna was not particularly good at. So as the putrid and wonderful smell slowly worked its way through Anna's head shutting down everything, she slowly fell unconscious. This smell moved quickly through the town knocking every living thing out. Over in the U.S the scientists were working quickly to figure out what this smell is. The president was moved to an underground bunker. Over in england the weird smell was quickly working on the next big city.

Swimming

The lunch time swim is part of Rimu's normal routine. Every day the year 7/8 go swimming for 25 mins.
We have competitions to see who can dive the furthest, do the biggest splash and shoulder wars. Asher and I  are the best at shoulder wars and I don't have a bad splash. Some people say our pool is cold but most days it's just refreshing.

This is our class in week 5

Every year Yaldhurst school has a pajama relay. This year Logan Jack Blake and I used the school rugby gear. That was a mistake, it turned out to be really heavy and hard to put on. We only just managed to finish. We also have a swimming sports, I came 3rd equal.

This is Blake jumping in with the gear on.

What Does It Mean To Be Healthy?

Being healthy to me means having as little sugar as possible and going outside and exercising. To be healthy I am going to try and exercise more and try cut down on my junk food.

Another healthy idea is to have a good nights sleep and a big healthy breakfast full of fruit and grains to start the day of well. Being healthy makes you happy.

Now why is sugar bad for you?

  1. Sugar can suppress your immune system.
  2. Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in the body.
  3. Sugar can cause juvenile delinquency in children.
  4. Sugar eaten during pregnancy and lactation can influence muscle force production in offspring, which can affect an individual’s ability to exercise.
  5. Sugar in soda, when consumed by children, results in the children drinking less milk.
  6. Sugar can elevate glucose and insulin responses and return them to fasting levels slower in oral contraceptive users.
  7. Sugar can increase reactive oxygen species, which can damage cells and tissues.
  8. Sugar can cause hyperactivity, anxiety, inability to concentrate and crankiness in children.
  9. Sugar can produce a significant rise in triglycerides.

100 WC Week #33

With the wind on this back James was carving down the mountain, snow flicking up of his twin tip skis. James was proud of himself these days, being #1 in New Zealand for slalom. Having fun with the ferocious wind pushing him between the flags was what he was born for. Lately there was one problem with Mt Hutt’s slalom course, it didn't give you long to stop. But having as much fun as he was he forgot that he needed to stop quickly. This time he wasn't going to hold back, tucking down into a ball. What a mistake.
