100 WC Week #33
With the wind on this back James was carving down the mountain, snow flicking up of his twin tip skis. James was proud of himself these days, being #1 in New Zealand for slalom. Having fun with the ferocious wind pushing him between the flags was what he was born for. Lately there was one problem with Mt Hutt’s slalom course, it didn't give you long to stop. But having as much fun as he was he forgot that he needed to stop quickly. This time he wasn't going to hold back, tucking down into a ball. What a mistake.

What a great beginning Josh! Really enjoyed reading this. Love your specific nouns, 'Mt Hutt', 'twin tip skis' and 'slalom course'. Remember to check all your spelling! :)
ReplyDeleteYes a great beginning. It suggests this is all going to end rather badly for poor old James but does not give away the ending. That makes me want to read more to find out what does actually happen to him.

Thanks for the feedback Miss Spragg.

ReplyDeleteHi Josh. It sounds like you know a bit about skiing and you've used that to take your readers up the mountain and onto the slopes; we're left seriously concerned for poor James. Well done! Your punctuation is very good too - might just need an extra comma or two. I look forward to reading more.
